NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman was attacked by a man wielding a machete at Bryant Park Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at around 11:33 a.m., the NYPD said.
The woman was slashed in the right arm and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital.
A suspect is in custody and a weapon recovered at the scene.
The attack appears to have been unprovoked.
